The Reading Horizons program is based on the Discover Intensive Phonics for Yourself method. This online system uses multi-sensory, Orton Gillingham principles of instruction and appeals to students’ individual learning styles—visual, auditory, tactile, or kinesthetic. Reading Horizons software programs, along with their corresponding direct-instruction materials, have taught reading strategies to hundreds of thousands of adults, youth, and children. Reading Horizons is dedicated specifically to helping individuals learn to read to better prepare them to accomplish real-life task that face them every day, as well as to empower them with the ability to create opportunities to expand their horizons in the future. To that end, Reading Horizons has established the Lemons for Literacy Donation Program to help institutions acquire the tool to improve literacy instruction.
