Neil Anderson
Neil Anderson is a professor in the Linguistics and English Language Department at Brigham Young University (BYU), and he serves as the coordinator of BYU's English Language Center. He has taught and presented papers and workshops in over 20 countries. His research interests include second language reading and language learning strategies. He is the author of a teacher education text in the TeacherSource series titled Exploring Second Language Reading: Issues and Strategies (1999, Heinle/Thomson) and an EFL reading series text, ACTIVE Skills for Reading (2002/2003, Heinle/Thomson). He is also the author of the ELT Advantage: Reading online professional development course published by Heinle/Thomson. During 2002-2003 he was a Fulbright Scholar conducting research and teaching in Costa Rica. Professor Anderson served as president of the International Association of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Inc. between 2001-2002. He currently serves as the chair of the Board of Trustees of the International Research Foundation for English Language Education.
