Scope of Work
Data collection conducted by GED supervisor at the Teen Challenge Training Center in Rehrersburg, Pennsylvania.
Tool
All students involved in the program are given practice GED intake tests, and those who score below 410 in any area are tested with the TABE locator and TABE test. Those who score below 350 in the GED Language Arts section are assigned to GED for reading, where their results are recorded with TABE testing.

Evaluation
Students who entered the pilot program reading below a sixth-grade level gained an average of 2.3 grade levels. One student went from reading at a level zero to reading at a 7.2 level.
With Reading Horizons, the staff at the Teen Challenge Training Center was far better able to address the literacy needs of their students.
