The Administration System is both powerful and user-friendly. Administrators and teachers manage student records, generate reports, and administer assessments. Teacher-specific logins sort students accordingly and allow teachers to customize the program based on student needs. Online customers are also able to manage multiple sites (schools).
Adding students to the Administration System is simple and intuitive. Templates have been developed for various student entry levels that set important student options, including Emerging, Basic, and Accelerated. These templates tweak basic options such as whether or not students receive comprehensive alphabet instruction, access the Most Common Word activities, or if they are required to take the Reference Lessons (grammar).
Reports compare and contrast student performance and provide varying views of critical data. Group reports allow teachers and administrators to view data across student populations. New charting features allow teachers to compare student performance with their previous scores and with their peers. Report options include:
Teacher-directed progress assessments are also launched through the Administration system. These optional assessments establish various measures of student understanding and demonstrate student achievement. For more detail visit the Assessments page
The Online version of Reading Horizons v5 provides all of the aforementioned functionality but also allows administrators to move students between sites and increase or decrease student access across sites with the click of a button.
* Students may also access the program from home for no additional fee.
